As an avid marathon runner from Sydney, now calling New York City home, I recently checked into Itsy Hotels Flowers Park, drawn by the promise of a central location. While the hotel is conveniently situated, it fell short in several areas that impact its luxury versus value equation. Upon early check-in at 8 am, I was charged an additional fee and directed to a room lacking essential air conditioning, which was quite the letdown after a long night of travel. The housekeeping standards were rather underwhelming, and I found the bathrooms not up to par. I was disappointed by the lack of dining options-no in-room breakfast amenities or a decent restaurant on-site. Breakfast service was chaotic, with long queues and no food in sight. For the price, my previous Treebo stay felt far less like a compromise. Unless significant improvements unfold, I'd suggest considering alternatives.
